Cookie policy

IFEMA MADRID (hereinafter, “Feria de Madrid”), owner of the website https://www.madridbeats.com (hereinafter, the “Website”), with tax identification number (NIF) Q2873018B and registered office at Avda. del Partenón, 5 — 28042 Madrid, informs you that the Website uses first-party and third-party cookies, as well as other data storage and retrieval devices with similar functionality (hereinafter, “Cookies”), for the purpose of enabling navigation on the Website, analysing user behaviour, and improving the quality and experience of the service offered.

1. What is a Cookie?

Cookies are files containing small amounts of information that are downloaded to a user’s device or equipment when they visit a website. Their main purpose is to recognise the user each time they access the Website and also to help improve its quality and usability.

Some Cookies are essential to the functioning of the Internet; they do not harm the user’s equipment or device and make it possible to identify and resolve potential Website malfunctions. Other Cookies may be used for analytical purposes.

2. What types of Cookies are there?

2.1. By purpose

  • Technical Cookies: enable users to navigate the Website and use its various options or services, such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying a session, accessing restricted areas, using security features while browsing, or enabling dynamic content.
  • Personalisation Cookies: allow information to be remembered so that users can access the service with certain features that may distinguish their experience from that of other users, such as language, browser type, or the region from which they access the service.
  • Analytics Cookies: make it possible to analyse users’ browsing behaviour and measure Website activity in order to introduce improvements to its operation.

2.2. By duration

  • Session Cookies: designed to collect and store data while the user accesses the Website. They disappear when the session ends.
  • Persistent Cookies: allow data to remain stored on the user’s device for a period determined by the party responsible for the Cookie.

2.3. By the entity managing them

  • First-party Cookies: sent to the user’s device from equipment or a domain managed by Madrid Beats.
  • Third-party Cookies: sent to the user’s device from equipment or a domain not managed by Madrid Beats, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the Cookies.

Madrid Beats informs users that the Website uses analytics and advertising cookies. These technologies make it possible to identify, locate, or create profiles of users—that is, to assess their interests, preferences, or behaviour. All such cookies are disabled by default. They are activated only if the user gives prior, express consent by selecting “Accept” on the banner or individually enabling each category in the cookie settings panel. Without such action, the Website uses only the technical cookies that are strictly necessary for its operation and to remember the user’s consent preferences. These cookies do not allow users to be identified, located, or profiled and are therefore not subject to this prior-activation requirement. You may enable or disable these functions, and withdraw consent already given, at any time through the cookie settings panel. For any questions concerning the protection of your personal data, you may contact: protecciondedatos@ifema.es

Madrid Beats will use Cookies on the user’s device only where the user has given consent through the Cookie banner and the settings panel provided for this purpose.

Cookies that are strictly necessary for browsing or for providing a service requested by the user (technical Cookies and certain personalisation Cookies) are exempt from the consent requirement, in accordance with Article 22 of the Spanish Law on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI).

The Cookies currently identified on the Website are listed below:

3. International data transfers

Some personal data obtained through third-party Cookies may involve international data transfers. In such cases, Madrid Beats ensures that the appropriate safeguards required by personal data protection regulations are adopted to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information.

For more information about the international transfers carried out by each third party, users may consult the relevant providers’ privacy policies.

4. How to accept, reject, block, or delete Cookies

Users may accept or reject the use of Cookies at any time by accessing the Cookie preferences panel available on the Website.

Users may also allow, block, or delete Cookies installed on their device by configuring the settings of the browser they use. For guidance, procedures may be consulted at the following links:

  • Firefox
  • Chrome
  • Internet Explorer: the option is available under Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Settings.
  • Safari: the option is available under Preferences/Privacy.
  • Opera
  • Microsoft Edge: Microsoft Edge, browsing data and privacy – Microsoft Support.

Deleting or blocking Cookies may affect the proper functioning of certain Website features.

Right to opt out. You may object at any time to the sale or sharing of personal information by using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Website footer and in the cookie settings panel. Advertising and third-party tracking cookies will remain disabled until you expressly accept them through that panel.

Non-discrimination. Exercising these rights will not result in discriminatory treatment or prevent you from accessing the Website.

5. User rights and additional information

Users may obtain more information about the processing of their personal data by Madrid Beats, and how to exercise their rights, by emailing: protecciondedatos@ifema.es

Sale of data for advertising purposes. The Website uses third-party advertising cookies to measure campaigns and track conversions. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and the laws of other states, allowing third parties to collect identifiers and browsing data for cross-context behavioural advertising may be considered the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Madrid Beats does not sell personal information for money. However, the use of these cookies may constitute a sale or sharing under those laws.

Opt-out preference signals (Global Privacy Control). The Website recognises and honours opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser or device. When such a signal is detected, the Website will indicate that the request has been processed by displaying the message “Opt-Out Request Preference Signal Honored” and visibly disabling the affected cookies in the settings panel. We apply the same approach to users in other states that recognise these signals, including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, and Texas.

“Do Not Track” signals. The Website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no common standard for interpreting them. This does not affect the processing of GPC signals described above.
