The DO Vinos de Madrid, created in 1990, encompasses more than 50 active wineries and more than 22,000 acres of vineyards to lose yourself in, with local white varieties such as malvar and albillo and the red garnacha.
Traditional methods, such as those at the century-old Anís Chinchón, are blended with the most innovative ideas at wineries such as Moradas de San Martín, Tierra Calma, and Valleiglesias, among others.
